ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR NOTABLE INITIATIVES
Develop long-term program assessment model with faculty-led research questions, focus groups, and professional development across 6 composition courses, 30 GTAs, and 60 NTTF.
Design and facilitate monthly professional development for faculty, including workshops by Asao Inoue, April Baker-Bell, and James Rushing Daniel.
Spearhead move to engagement- and equity-based grading, informed by Ellen Carillo, Asao Inoue, Shawna Shapiro, and April Baker-Bell.
Facilitate integration of linguistic justice and critical language awareness in first-year composition custom reader with a minimum of 50% readings from a diverse authorship.
Initiate and oversee IRB research of programs that require upper-division composition courses; use research to update curriculum and course descriptions.
Develop and maintain policies and syllabi templates in collaboration with campus offices (Student Disability Center, Academic Integrity, First-Year Experience, Morgan Library, etc.).
Oversee faculty trainings in six program courses.
Initiate revision of NTTF hiring, onboarding, and mentoring for equitable hiring practices.
